First look: Meeting the subjects of the documentary film  Everything Matters
Each day, millions of people receive a diagnosis that will change their lives. Every expectation for how life is supposed to be—even how long it will last—is turned upside down.

For some people, illness begins a journey to live fully. This is the story of EVERYTHING MATTERS.

The documentary follows patients of Dr. Ann Webster, a health psychologist on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and Director Emerita of the Cancer Program at the Benson-Henry Institute. Her work focuses on patients who have received terminal and life-limiting diagnoses.

These are stories of courage and compassion and the sheer will to fight another day. Those we follow have survived, and thrived, years longer than their illness indicated. It is a fascinating and uplifting story, despite the challenges and losses inherent in this topic.

The film discovers another remarkable story, too:
Ann Webster herself.
